- 50% Perform review of business banking, SBA and other bank documented loans ensuring accuracy and meeting requirements of loan approval and policy. This will include reporting any exceptions to the appropriate parties and escalation of potential risk, and resolution of exception items.

The Loan Documentation team at NBT is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and ensuring accuracy and compliance for loans across the bank's lines of business.
The Loan Documentation Specialist I is responsible for performing moderately complex review of post approval documentation to analyze adherence to loan approval, loan policy and procedure including construction advance monitoring, collateral perfection and insurance requirements.
Requiring considerable knowledge of loan policies and practices, the incumbent performs specific review of documents and identifies appropriate exceptions. Analyze information, comprehend standardized loan documentation and structure, and make processing decisions based on established procedures and guidelines.Activities directly impact customer accounts, bank reporting, and risk mitigation. May prepare reports and furnish information to authorized persons within and external to the bank. Provides guidance to all levels of employees regarding policies and procedures as they pertain to tasks performed.
