- Clasificar la ropa a lavar por color, material y nivel de suciedad.
- Inspeccionar toda la ropa, ropa blanca y mantelería a lavar para detectar si tienen daños o manchas – llevar un registro de cualquier artículo que no esté en condiciones adecuadas.
- Poner en funcionamiento las lavadoras y secadoras de acuerdo con su capacidad recomendada y las directrices del fabricante.
- Añadir los productos químicos correctos en las cantidades correctas para cada ciclo de lavado.
- Doblar y almacenar las sábanas y toallas limpias – hacer funcionar las máquinas alimentadora de sábanas, dobladora de sábanas, dobladora de toallas y de planchado de manteles.
- Es una función que implica esfuerzo físico, y estará de pie la mayor parte del día, por lo que es importante estar en forma.
- Es posible que tenga que agacharse y arrodillarse para realizar algunas actividades.
