    Job Description Salary:
    This is a contractor position for a six to nine-month project. Relocation expenses available.


    We are currently seeking a skilled Automation Specialist Level III with expertise in PlantPax for an exciting project within a pharmaceutical facility located in North Carolina.

    The ideal candidate will work directly with the utilities owners to identify upgrades and integration to PlantPAX system.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Design, develop, and implement automation solutions utilizing PlantPax system within pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess automation needs and develop comprehensive strategies to meet business objectives.
    Conduct a thorough analysis of existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and automation opportunities.
    Configure and troubleshoot PlantPax systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and integration of control systems.
    Provide technical support and guidance to onsite teams during system implementation, testing, and commissioning phases.
    Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards throughout the automation lifecycle.
    Develop and maintain documentation including design specifications, test protocols, and user manuals.
    Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in automation to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
    Proven experience (5+ years) as an Automation Specialist, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
    In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation's PlantPax system.
    Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
    Strong understanding of GMP regulations and industry standards related to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
    Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
    Self-motivated and adaptable with a strong commitment to quality and safety.

    Location:
    The position is based in North Carolina, offering a dynamic work environment within a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility. Relocation expenses paid.

    Physical/Mental Requirements

    Able to stand for extended hours for test runs
    Able to climb ladders/steps
    Able to lift items of 25lbs.
