    Up To $25,000 Sign On Bonus For Qualified RNs


    Position Summary:


    The Oncology nurse provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients and is responsible for delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, and evidence‐based quality care.

    Practicing in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, and the ANA scope and standards of practice.


    Education, License & Cert:

    • Registered Nurse in the State of Practice.
    • BSN in Nursing preferred.
    • Any previously agreed upon effective date for obtaining a Bachelor's degree in nursing between individuals and facilities will remain in effect, including those who transition to their position from the NLRN Program.
    • Any contract with specific time frames for obtaining a bachelor's degree in nursing will supersede the above point and will remain in effect.
    • Specialty Certification is preferred.
    • BLS certification.
    • ACLS is unit dependent.
    • PALS is unit dependent.

    Experience:


    A minimum of two years of practice as a registered nurse in an acute care setting is preferred but not required.


    Essential Functions:

    • Employs Nursing Professional Practice by assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients' care.
    • Develops updates and coordinates patient plan of care to achieve patient goals.
    • Optimizes patient outcomes and helps patient transition across the care continuum.
    • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
    • Performs and maintains essential competencies as required by the department. Such as administering chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood and iron infusions and any other therapeutic treatments.
    • Follows provider orders in relation to patient care and documents interventions.
    • Advocates for patients to promote a safe and quality patient care.
    • Provides ethical and holistic care by partnering with other health care providers within and outside of the department.
    • Facilitates learning environment for patients to educate them on disease processes and treatments.
    • Helps educate patients on the care being provided to them and the treatment plan they are prescribed.
    • Provides patients with the education material needed to ensure health literacy.

    The pay range for this position is $ $53.06 per hour.
