    The research and development (R&D) tax credit is an incentive for companies to invest resources in the development of new and improved products, processes, and software.

    FORVIS' R&D tax credit consultants work with companies in a multitude of industries to understand their R&D efforts and assist them with capturing these valuable tax savings.


    How you will contribute:
    Providing research and development tax consulting services to a variety of clients including Fortune 500, private middle-market companies, owner-managed businesses, and start-ups

    Working as a multi-disciplinary team helping provide subject matter knowledge and experience

    Coordinating with the Manager, Senior Manager, or Partner on all phases of an R&D credit engagement including initial scoping, engagement letter, information requests, timely and proactive client communications, staffing requirements, project execution, and report and deliverable preparation

    Delegating work to and reviewing work performed by staff in accordance with their experience and capabilities

    Researching R&D credit statutes, regulations, and case law

    Gathering client documentation and assisting in the analysis of client data (both financial and technical)

    Performing research credit calculations

    Creating detailed reports to substantiate tax benefits

    Developing and reviewing descriptions of qualified project activities to support R&D credit positions

    Actively coaching and training staff on all facets of engagement execution

    Performing site visits to assist with client interviews

    Availability to travel 10% to 15% within the U.S.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field or JD

    2 years or more of professional experience (research credit experience preferred, but not required)

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
