- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, and traumatic injuries.
- Perform wound measurements, evaluations, and documentation to monitor healing progress and identify potential complications.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, patient history, and wound characteristics.
- Utilize advanced wound care techniques, including debridement, wound dressings, compression therapy, and adjunctive therapies to promote optimal healing.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications to support healing and prevent recurrence.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and ongoing education to enhance clinical knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
- Adhere to professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies to ensure safe and ethical delivery of care.
- Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and excellent communication skills in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in California
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
