    Responsibilities

    This compassionate medical professional performs polysomnographic testing and analysis under general oversight of Lead Polysomnographic Technologist and/or Clinical Director.

    Responsibilities:
    • Preparing for the sleep study prior to the patient's arrival.
    • Reviewing patient information in order to meet the patient-specific needs; review the patient's history and verify the medical order; verify patient identification upon arrival; explain the procedure to the patient; select appropriate equipment and calibrate for testing; and perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) interface and desensitization.
    • Following procedural protocols, performs data acquisition while monitoring the study, documents routine observations, intervenes as needed to ensure patient safety, scores the study and clinical events, prepares a report and provides patient education.
    Requirements:
    • NYS and RPSGT Polysomnography Certified or NYS Respiratory Therapist
    • Associate's degree or higher. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
    This position has a rotating overnight schedule including weekends and some possible daytime hours on occasion for scoring.

    Pay Range

    USD $ USD $53.18 /Hr.

    This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
