- Direct and support all warehouse activities and functions of distribution operations, including receiving, warehousing, and fulfillment.
- Optimize the layout and organization of warehouses or storage facilities to maximize space utilization.
- Collaborate regularly with procurement, sales, and other departments.
- Accountable for productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and motivation key performance metrics.
- Identify operational issues and develop strategic solutions for short- and long-term goals.
- Implement efficient workflow processes to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
- Evaluate personnel capabilities, skills, and resource alignment to ensure performance against objectives.
- Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff.
- Establish clear performance and behavioral expectations, build people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for both hourly and salaried personnel.
- Promote company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
- Coordinate and support quality control standards for incoming and outgoing products.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure product packaging meets company standards.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, verifying their accuracy against purchase orders.
- Manage the efficient loading and unloading of trucks and containers.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of shipping documents and labels.
- Maintain and oversee the operation of warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
- Manage facility maintenance, repairs, and security to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Participate in strategic discussions regarding future expansion and/or consolidation of warehouse areas.
- Monitor and control warehouse operational expenses, including labor costs and equipment maintenance.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Generate reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and shipping metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, adjustments, and disposals.
- Collect OTIF rate and other KPIs for benchmark and root cause analysis.
- Support company policies and ensure department employees comply with standards and work rules.
- Assist with the interviewing and selection process of new hires, ensuring compliance with non-discriminatory laws and guidelines.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and training to department employees.
- Conduct safety reviews, participate in injury/accident investigations, and ensure safety compliance.
- Perform other supervisory and managerial duties as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
- 10+ years of experience leading large teams.
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software.
- Certified in forklift training and the ability to train staff.
- Knowledge of various warehouse equipment and racking systems.
- APICS training and/or certification is desirable.
- May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree Nuts and Sesame.

The Warehouse & Distribution Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including logistics, safety, and personnel management across multiple warehouse locations in the organization. This role will lead the execution of WMS operations and drive activities to achieve cost targets and improve performance in areas of warehouse efficiency, safety, order quality, and capability while ensuring compliance objectives are met. This critical role will maintain positive employee relations and ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, coupled with servicing our partners in Operation/Production within the area.

This position is currently classified as on-site.
Base Salary Range: $124,000 - $150,000 per year, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Holidays, Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program.
The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
