- Operate or train to operate Manual Lathes, CNC Lathes, Manual Grinders, Manual Mills, CNC Mills, Die Sinks, Wire EDM's, Hole Poppers and Saws
- Maintain tooling for production requirements and maintenance needs
- Achieve first time quality with minimal scrap
- Respond to emergency requests for tool room assistance and/or tooling
- Assist and be pro-active in reducing costs and making quality improvements to manufacture forge tooling
- Reduce costs of process/operation
- Adhere to company rules and policies
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace
- Associates Degree in Computer Integrated Machining and/or Welding Technology (Preferred)
- Two years apprenticeship or three years practical experience
- Proficient in setup, programming, operation and maintenance of tool room equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and skills
- Communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Understands metric and standard measuring system
- Experience with gauges such as Vernier's, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
- Stellite welding experience preferred
- Three to four years' experience in a technical environment preferred
- Standard physical requirements
- Reaching, walking
- Pulling, pushing and lifting 50 lbs or less
- Noise, atmospheric conditions, oils and coolants
