    Our client, a manufacturer of components and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries is immediately seeking a Project Manager to join their team
    The Project Manager is the manufacturing representative responsible for ensuring the company's performance in response to customer contracts.

    This is the customer's internal advocate, driving projects across the organization while ensuring that the goals and objectives of the business are met.


    Responsibilities include:
    Primary customer interface for job status updates and to assist customer with their needs.
    Communicating key project milestones to internal and external stockholders to ensure that contracts are executed to schedule.
    Ensuring project make/buy decisions are executed with the optimal mix of schedule, cost, and technical consideration
    Solicit Pricing and schedule from suppliers to assist with manufacturing operations that are off-loaded.
    Support business development and estimating functions to create or validate outgoing proposals

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Understands the perspective and requirements of the customer, both internal and external; does what it takes to serve the customer to meet or exceed their expectations and anticipates future needs of the customer.

    Have experience in planning, and ability to think strategically about manufacturing options.
    Always be looking forward, proactively searching for new opportunities and ways to improve the company's position with the customer.
    Must have solid technical understanding of machining and fabrication techniques, processes, and workflows. Prior experience in a manufacturing company. Aerospace experience is a plus.
    Must be self-motivated and able to perform all duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
    Be an excellent communicator with an ability to work effectively across the organization, understand ERP system and call suppliers.
    Must have the ability to work well under pressure and manage difficult situations.

    Education Qualifications:
    BS. in business administration or related fields a plus.
    5-10 years as a Project Manager/Planner in a manufacturing environment.
    High level of proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Project and ERP/MRP systems.
