    MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associate degree or a minimum of 60 hours of college credit earned, preferably in the childcare profession
    • CPR/First Aide/AED certifications preferred

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in implementing a preschool daycare program according to the Missouri Department of Health state licensing requirements and guidelines established by the board of education.
    • Provide a learning environment for children which encourages imagination and self-discovery using hands-on activities.
    • Ensure a comfortable, clean, and safe environment for the children.
    • Maintain discipline in the classroom.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records, such as attendance, lunch counts, daily reports, accident/illness reports, and lesson plans.
    • Collaborate with staff assistant in the implementation of the preschool daycare program.
    • Communicate clearly and effectively with parents using a variety of methods, such as daily reports, newsletters, personal and telephone conferences, and soliciting input.
    • Keep the director informed of all pertinent information regarding all phases of the center's programs.
    • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with students, parents, and staff.
    • Work a flexible schedule, which at times includes early and late hours.
    • Complete twelve clock hours of child-related training at the center per calendar year.
    • Receive a "Nine-Month As Needed" contract.

    TERMS:
    Full-time with benefits; $15.71/hr for 60 hours or $16.72/hr for Bachelor's with possible steps for experience


    EFFECTIVE:
    school year


    SCREENING TO BEGIN:
    Immediately; open until filled


    CLASSIFICATION:
    Non-exempt

    Recommendation to be given at the May 2024, Board of Education meeting.
