In collaboration with the hospice team, you make dignity at the end of life a priority and know that you are fulfilling your purpose as a Hospice Aide at Ohio Living.
More than any other area of nursing, hospice care allows you to foster a bond with patients and their families that is unlike any other.
You have some flexibility to see your assigned patients for the shift as you prefer, as long as you are self-motivated and efficient in your time management.
Many ways to care. It takes a special person to provide hospice care with skill and compassion. Rewards include mileage reimbursement.We offer everything you expect, plus a retirement plan, paid time off, education assistance, pay advances up to $500 and recognition programs.
As directed by a Case Manager, you will provide end-of-life care and various services for hospice patients throughout several counties, including health care, nutritional services, mobility assistance, bathroom assistance, medications, light housekeeping and running errands.
We'll rely on you to observe, report and document patient status and offer empathetic support to patients and their families.
1-2 years of experience working as an STNA or hospice aide
~ Knowledge of hospice aide practices and procedures preferred
~ Reliable vehicle (you'll use your own car), valid driver's license, insurance and acceptable driving record
