The Employment Tax Senior Manager is responsible for assisting clients with managing employment tax liabilities, minimizing compliance risks, providing guidance on items such as fringe benefit taxation or worker classification, and identifying and recovering overpaid employment taxes.
The Employment Tax Senior Manager will provide written employment tax advice to clients, evaluate alternate courses of action to lessen employment tax burden and cost of compliance, and identify potential changes in employment tax policy and regulations.
As a member of the State and Local Tax Practice, additional responsibilities include marketing, networking, and business development within his/her area of experience and specialization and recognizing potential changes in tax policy and applying new policies to tax compliance.

Develop an Employment Tax practice to support the firm's tax, audit and consulting practices
Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
Assist with firm risk management initiatives and requirements
Research and resolve complex employment tax issues
Prepare technical memoranda, matrices and other client deliverables
Draft internal and external Alerts
Participate in the billing and collection process
Supervise, mentor, and develop staff members
Recognize opportunities and market employment tax services to clients and prospects
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree; Master's degree in Tax/LLM, preferred
8+ years of experience in employment tax consulting
Recent experience in public accounting, preferably with a
national/international
firm
Excellent communication and writing skills
Strong tax research skills
Leadership skills and able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
Must take initiative, be self-directed and results oriented
Experience or strong interest in practice development
