Emergency Services Nurse Manager

Salary Range:
$65,000 to $80,000 Annually
Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director for our Emergency Department.
This role is instrumental in supporting the Director in organizing, directing, and supervising the operational functions within the Emergency Department.
The ideal candidate will ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to, maintain safe staffing levels, ensure sufficient supplies and equipment, and manage efficient patient throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the oversight of the Emergency Department's operational functions, including staff development, clinical practices, resource and productivity management, fiscal management, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee the emergency
management/preparedness
responsibilities in compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
Promote ongoing quality and performance improvement initiatives, and support staff professional development through lifelong learning.
Ensure that employees complete required annual competencies and maintain a focus on professional growth and development within nursing leadership.
Communicate effectively with the Director of the unit and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Nursing or related field is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) is preferred.
Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
A minimum of 1-3 years supervisory experience in the Emergency Department is essential.
