    Regional Sales Manager


    Ocean Beauty Seafoods Seattle is looking for a Regional Sales Manager for our specialty seafood, frozen, and value added seafood We focus on getting quality and sustainable seafood to our local grocery stores and restaurants.

    As the Sales Manager, you will work to expand seafood sales to retail accounts and their distributors.

    You willdevelop sales plans and strategies to be reviewed and approved by marketing, category managers, and the Vice President of Sales.

    In addition, you will be responsible forbudget and forecasting for all accounts and products.

    You will also represent Ocean Beauty on direct headquarter sales calls, working with brokers and support staff to achieve mutually beneficial sales transactions.

    Pay starts at $100,000 annually, depending on experience.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    Hires, trains and manages activities of brokers for the assigned regions and accounts.
    Directly manages non-brokered accounts.
    Responsible for packaged seafood sales to retail accounts and their distributors. This includes specialty seafood, and value-added products. Customer segments to include Chain Grocery Retail, Independent retailers, Club – Warehouse, and Cash and Carry format.

    Responsible for food service items – Selected foodservice accounts as directed with emphasis on regional chain accounts with OB branded specific items for specialty and value-added products.

    Supports seafood distributors with VA, Specialty and Commodity items.
    Meets or exceeds budget for sales and growth.
    Responsible for budget and forecasting for all accounts and products.
    Works to accomplish specific goals and initiatives as defined in reviews.
    Develops sales plans and strategies to be reviewed and approved by marketing, category managers and Vice President of Sales before implementation
    Lead sales role with key accounts. The primary role of leading all communication between the account and the team responsible for developing business.
    Manages customer spending and assigns cost to the correct accrual buckets that reconcile quarterly within 5%. Utilize all planning tools in this function.
    Manage travel and entertainment budget to goal established by Vice President of Sales.
    Attends all "A" customer calls with the accounts and or/brokers that involve1) first time presentations to a new customer, 2) new item presentations.
    Builds end-user relationships that complement, but at the same time, transcend the broker/customer relationship. Critical to build relationships beyond buyer level.
    Makes headquarter calls as required by the business.
    Reviews A/R weekly and assists in resolving all overdue accounts and aged inventory meetings.
    Recommends pricing strategies and promotional programs for key customers in assigned territory.

    Participates in the selection of new brokers with the Vice President of Sales and is responsible for their training and development.

    Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
    Responds to change productively and handles other duties as required.
    Attends trade shows as required.
    Travel estimated at 30%.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Have strong computer skills
    Are able to travel via airplane visiting customers and brokers
    Are detail oriented and a self-starter
    Have strong communication and listening skills
    Are able to troubleshoot
    BS degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing preferred or equivalent experience.
    Minimum of three (3) year's experience in sales, retail and/or foodservice operations, distribution/wholesale, and broker/territory management.
    Must have experience successfully working with distributors, brokers and key accounts showing consistent sales growth over time while creating a positive, open and supportive relationship with key company personnel
