    POSITION PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to support the delivery of comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare, including clinical abortion care, at Planned Parenthood Downtown Pittsburgh location. This role requires a combination of skill and flexibility, as well as a willingness to work as a collaborative and inclusive member of a team. This role requires a compassionate individual with demonstrated communication skills and clinical proficiency.

    COMPENSATION and BENEFITS:


    Hourly compensation:
    $18.00 per hour

    QUALIFICATIONS:


    • High school degree or equivalent required,
    • Customer service experience required
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Consistently demonstrate appropriate service behaviors in interactions with patients and colleagues
    • Actively contribute to an inclusive workplace culture by working collaboratively as a valued member of the care team
    • Proactively work to resolve conflict and perform service recovery, as needed
    • Administrative duties include answering phones, making appointments, taking messages, transferring records for patients, and ensuring completion of health center records and required forms
    • Perform patient medical and social history intakes and provide education as indicated for the services patients are seeking as directed by supervisor/clinician on duty
    • Complete basic lab work and follow procedures as required
    • Provide patients with non-judgmental pregnancy options counseling and make referrals for service based on the patient's choice
    • Assist licensed medical staff with the delivery of abortion procedures as needed
    • Perform all recordkeeping duties related to patient care with accuracy
    • Perform housekeeping and stocking duties as needed
    • Complete HIPAA and OSHA training and other training as required
