- Always maintain conscientiousness for safety while driving, as well as performing all other duties
- Must complete all Truck Driver Training and Development Programs
- Full compliance with all FMCSA/DOT regulations and other Company policies and procedures as applicable
- Haul, load, and handle products as assigned while maintaining efficiencies, such as fuel and best hauling and loading practices
- Inspects truck for defects before, during, and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition
- Obtains schedule of load times and locations for the day and drives truck to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills
- Must be able to back up and maneuver in and around tight areas
- Maintains electronic driver log according to DOT regulations
- Regularly inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water
- Makes truck and/or trailer available for scheduled maintenance
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- CDL Truck Driver School
- Must have a valid Class A CDL with proper endorsements
- Must have a current/valid DOT Medical Certification
- Must be at least 21 years of age due to travel requirements, or 18 years of age to operate solely in intrastate capacity only.
- Must meet DOT qualifications
- Must accurately and timely complete Company and DOT required forms

This position is intended for all new hire drivers and/or entry level driver trainees. Responsible for safely transporting and delivering products or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form, while abiding by all state and local traffic laws.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to climb and balance while getting in and out of the truck and while hooking and unhooking lines to and from the trailer. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions during all weather seasons of the year.
