Sacred Heart University invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure-track position in the Department of Chemistry and Physics. Field is open, with a preference for specialization in Physical Chemistry. The Department of Chemistry offers academic programs leading to Bachelor's and Master's degrees thus the successful candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching and directing research at the undergraduate and graduate level in their specialty. The ideal candidate should support and encourage a culture of diverse scholarship, teaching, and service activities as well as foster a climate of collaboration and collegiality.

Requirements: PhD in Chemistry or a related field are invited to apply (ABD considered). Significant teaching and post-doctoral experiences preferred. The successful candidate will actively promote a collegial environment and consciously apply our mission and values to create a culture of inclusion and belonging; a safe space where all may thrive and succeed. They will also participate in developmental activities to increase understanding and awareness of issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion and then apply that understanding to guide their approach to all aspects of their job and the community as a whole.
