The

IT Network Administrator

is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. They manage network components, troubleshoot issues, ensure network security, and optimize network performance. The role involves collaborating with IT teams to support business operations and implementing best practices for network management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Monitor and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, racks, and access points.
Perform regular network audits to ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
Troubleshoot network performance issues such as latency, downtime, and connectivity problems.
Implement and maintain network security protocols like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and enforce network security policies.
Establish network specifications and optimize network settings for performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new technologies into the network infrastructure.
Provide technical support, training, and maintain documentation for network configurations and user guides.
Develop disaster recovery plans, implement backup solutions, and test data integrity regularly.
Coordinate with vendors for network equipment procurement, maintenance, and support, including contract negotiations.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.

Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, and VPN and experience with network security protocols, such as SSL/TLS, IPSec, and firewall configurations.

Familiarity with network monitoring tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
