- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological wellbeing.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs, diagnosis, and goals.
- Provide therapeutic counseling and support to individuals, couples, families, and groups using evidencebased practices.
- Establish rapport and build strong therapeutic relationships with clients in a nonjudgmental and empathetic manner.
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques and interventions to address clients' mental health concerns and promote positive change.
- Guide clients through the process of identifying, understanding, and modifying harmful behaviors and thought patterns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to coordinate client care effectively.
- Collect and maintain accurate records of clients' progress, treatment plans, and assessments, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay updated on best practices and new treatment modalities.
- Stay informed about changes and advancements in the field of mental health counseling and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
- Master's degree in counseling or related field from an accredited institution. (Candidates working towards obtaining licensure will also be considered). LPC, LCSW, Registered Associate, etc.
- Valid state license or certification as a Mental Health Counselor/Therapist.
- Proven experience providing therapy and counseling services to individuals with mental health conditions.
- Strong knowledge of various therapeutic approaches, such as cognitivebehavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and solutionfocused brief therapy.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to establish trust and rapport with diverse populations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems.
- Flexibility to accommodate varying work hours and meet the needs of clients.
- Experience working in a private practice or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Specialization or additional training in specific areas such as trauma, substance abuse, Adult , or couples therapy.
- Bilingual proficiency in languages commonly spoken by the local community but not necessary.
