CLASS TITLE:

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Superintendent, perform complex and responsible secretarial, clerical and Administrative Assistant responsibilities to relieve the Superintendent of a variety of administrative details; coordinate communications and information; serve as liaison and interpret policies and regulations to officials, press personnel, parents, students, staff, and the public; train and provide work direction to assigned staff

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to:
two years of college-level training in secretarial science, office management, or related field and five years of responsible secretarial experience

ENVIRONMENT:
Office environment. Constant interruptions

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Any combination equivalent to:
two years of college-level training in secretarial science, office management, or related field and five years of responsible secretarial experience

Knowledge of:

Functions and clerical operations of an administrative office.
District organization, operations, policies and objectives.
Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
Record-Keeping techniques.
Principles of training and providing work direction to others.
Oral and written communication skills.
Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
Correct English usage including vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and punctuation

Environment:

Constant Interruptions
Attendance at SLVUSD Board Meetings (evening work hours)
