    Job Summary:


    The successful candidate will function as a Field Engineer with the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Missile Defense System.

    The candidate will work out of Huntsville, Alabama, and assist the customer with monitoring and providing reach-back support for the THAAD Fire Control & Communication (TFCC) Systems and THAAD Launching Stations which are maintained by the USG Fire Units.

    The candidate will validate accuracy, consistency, and completeness of Maintenance Actions in accordance with established Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), Technical Manuals (TMs), policies, procedures, and processes.

    The candidate will provide THAAD Logistics Operations Center (TLOC) support for the THAAD fielded batteries.

    Responsibilities


    Job Responsibilities:
    Sustainment Operations

    Provide Post-Production support for validation and verification of IETM's using Government provided equipment to include User System Operator Trainer (USOT) and float assets

    Provide on-site Information Technology support and troubleshooting, to include the replacement for failed items

    Assist in maintaining training tactical equipment and training devices

    Provide Post-Production support to the THAAD Tabletop Trainer

    Demonstrate proficiency in reading and comprehending electrical and mechanical drawings

    Perform all duties under minimal supervision and cross train to gain proficiency working with all elements of the THAAD system

    Logistical Operations

    Monitor and report operations, battery status, readiness optimization, and supply-chain-status's

    Provide administrative functions in support of THAAD Fielded Army Batteries

    Monitor levels of critical parts; report inventory levels to senior managers, and recommend parts allocation

    Coordinate Engineering reach-back support of Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Field Service Representative (FSR) maintenance activities

    Gather, maintain, analyze, and store sustainment data

    Receive and post THAAD system data to classified or unclassified Automated Information Systems (AISs) for analysis by component engineering personnel

    Inspect Item Unique Identification (IUID) labels and replace missing labels

    Coordinate and track reviews of system data by engineers and provide feedback to the THAAD Program Office (TPO) for further dissemination to the warfighter

    Submit parts requests and coordinate Global Supply Chain nodes for requisitions

    Coordinate field level cooperation among deployed CLS Teams

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    3-5 years technician experience with field & sustainment operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs

    Ability to manage and account for inventory

    Must possess and maintain a
    SECRETclearance

    Must pass a background check to include criminal and credit

    Must possess (or able to obtain) a valid U.S. Passport with no restrictions on travel

    Proficient with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems


    Desired Qualifications:
    Experience with the THAAD or Patriot System(s)

    Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics

    Basic understanding of the Army Supply Chain

    Ability to apply fault detection and fault isolation procedures
