    SUMMARY:


    Working as part of the Engineering Division, you will be an integral part of a talented team in the development of internally and externally designed projects and operation of related municipal programs.

    You'll be responsible for developing and executing a diverse range of projects (water, sewer, streets, traffic, etc.), asset management plans, studies, right of way permitting, environmental permitting and programs, and the related resident and business communication.

    You will also work with cross-departmental staff to help review site plans and participate in complex development projects.

    We value excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with the public, providing clear explanations of projects and solving problems that arise during construction.

    Qualifications


    POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
    A bachelor's degree with major course work in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline is required. Work experience should include three years of increasingly responsible civil engineering experience (including internships). Experience related to infrastructure project design, estimating, field inspection, material testing, and/or contract administration preferred.


    COMPUTER SKILLS:
    Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred. Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD desired.

    CERTIFICATES &


    LICENSES:
    Satisfactory completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred. Department of Environment, Great Lakes, & Energy (EGLE) stormwater operator and Soil Erosion & Sedimentation Control certificates desired.
