Overview/ Job Responsibilities Sev1Tech is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Writer at the Journeyman level to join our team
As a Technical Writer, you will play a vital role in creating clear and concise documentation for technical processes, products, and systems

Responsibilities:

Document Creation:
Collaborate with subject matter experts to create comprehensive and user-friendly technical documentation, including manuals, guides, and procedures.

Research and Understanding:
Gain a deep understanding of complex technical concepts and products
Conduct research and interviews with technical experts to gather information for documentation.

Content Organization:
Organize and present information logically and coherently
Structure documentation to cater to the needs of different audiences, from end-users to technical specialists.

Editing and Proofreading:
Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines
Ensure that documentation is free of errors and conforms to established standards.

Version Control:
Implement version control processes to manage updates and revisions to technical documentation
Maintain accurate records of changes and updates.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and project managers, to ensure accurate and timely documentation of technical projects and products.

User Feedback:
Gather feedback from end-users and stakeholders to continuously improve the quality and usability of technical documentation
Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a SECRET level clearance
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• 6-years of proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technical or scientific field.
• Strong writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using documentation tools and software.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively

Desired Qualifications

• Certification in Technical Writing or related field.
• Familiarity with industry-standard style guides and documentation best practices.
• Experience with graphic design tools for incorporating visuals into documentation
