    About ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital

    ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro and the surrounding communities can receive a wide range of health services close to home.

    As part of the ECU Health system of care, the hospital offers high quality care provided by more than 20 medical specialists, rehabilitation services, a birthing center, a cancer center, outpatient clinics and more.

    Responsible to provide care in accordance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice and other standards established by profession/professional groups, regulating bodies/agents.

    Nursing care will be delivered in accordance with ECU Health and entity specific nursing policies, procedures and professional standards of care/practice.

    Responsible for the provision and coordination of nursing care to include the collection and analysis of assessment data, identification of expected outcomes and development of plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members.

    Identifies interventions to attain expected outcomes, implements the interventions identified in the plan of care, evaluates the progress of the patient/family toward attainment of outcomes, and documents the process.

    This care includes sensitivity to age specific and unique needs of the patient/family.
    Promotes and evaluates the effective functioning of the health care team. Collaborates with health care team members to meet the identified needs of the patient/family throughout the episode of care. Diploma in Nursing, Associates in Nursing or higher

    Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state Health Care Provider is required.

    This is a full-time day position- 36 hours per week (7am-7pm) includes holidays and rotating weekends.
    The unit consists of 27 surgical beds and 4 observation beds, with the availability of 15 telemetry monitors.

    The plan of care reflects the nurse's recognition of the physical, psychological, and social needs as part of the uniqueness and wholeness of every patient and refers to Social Services/Discharge Planner for other support services needed.

    The patient population consists of adolescents who are 13 years and older and should also be 80pounds pounds or greater, adults, and geriatric patients
