    Position Summary:
    The Manager, Software Development is responsible for leading, architecting, and managing key software projects in a growing complex environment.

    The Software Development Manager is expected to lead and helpproduce scalable and functional software systems that meet the needs of our customers, both internally and externally, manage development staff, and to build and put in place processes to support the mission and mature the group's capabilities and foster development process improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    Scope and lead software projects ensuring developers stay on track. Assign tasks, direct, and mentor software developers. Lead agile development scrum and other meetings.
    Interview and hire development staff.
    Offer constructive feedback to team members as needed.

    Coordinate closely with IT, security, and other technical personnel for dev ops needs and to provide scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.

    Interact and coordinate with business analysts, business leaders, and ensure development team has the appropriate amount of interaction with the customers/users of respective projects.

    Develop and maintain applications using C# .NET, MVC framework, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, etc.
    Communicate with internal and external customers during the analysis and development phases and collaborate on feature and product direction.
    Develop SQL queries to be used within application code as well as for operational tasks.
    Create build scripts for deployment to test and production servers.
    Requirements and Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field of study required.
    5+ years' experience in the following: web-based application design, development and launch, web application development using C# .NET or similar architectures, MVC framework, HTML, AJAX, CSS, database design using SQL, TSQL, jQuery, Bootstrap/jQuery plugins, JavaScript, React, Angular
    Experience in healthcare data and transactions (i.e. X12, HL7) a plus.
    7+years of application development experience and 2+years of management experience.
    Experience in enterprise-level application deployment and monitoring.
    A highly technical, hands-on developer and an effective people manager with experience directly leading teams.
    Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

    Must have strong computer proficiency and understand how to use basic office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

    Occasional travel may be required.
    Regular and predictable attendance.
    Special Considerations and Prerequisites

    Microsoft and other relevant certifications a plus.
    Strong attention to detail and foresight.
    Willingness to work collaboratively within a group as well as independently when appropriate.
    General office environment; must be able to sit for long periods of time.
