Responsibilities
Participates in interviews and interview preparation for negotiated bids assists the Marketing Department in preparation of responses to RFPs and RFQs provides value alternative solutions taking into consideration cost schedule maintenance life cycle cost implications oversees value alternate preparation from subcontractors internal departments fills in design gaps for incomplete documents for the completion of estimates ensures estimating department has most current design information in the preparation of estimates prepares submits contract documents legal risk reviews prepares qualifications assumptions align contractual requirements projects assist prequalification process leads internal McCarthy estimate review bid process team meetings acts Bid Captain pursuits particularly those projects with preconstruction period after award such as Design-Build pursuit oversights establishment maintenance budget control reconstruction phase projects presents deliverables owners complete organized manner approved guidelines McCarthy requirements owner attends represents McCarthy all design coordination meetings some projects may lead these maintains action log outstanding items assigns responsibility action items maintains scope issues log responsible compiling pricing assistance estimating needed prepares oversees preparation preconstruction schedule buy-in internal departments relates them interfaces owners designers maintain schedule keeps informed department activities assists Project team decisions development solutions reviews project construction ensures timely General Conditions coordination trade packages manages maintains consistent deliverables approved format manages aspects risk defines executive team ensures adhering contractual requirements strategically meeting overall goals understanding preconstruction construction contracts applying knowledge assigned project tracks manages construction budget formal estimating periods keeps owner team abreast current budget impact design decisions acts liaison operations estimating management represents McCarthy subcontractors through management preconstruction process assists development training other staff manages relationship management plan owners key stakeholders markets covered builds maintains relationships architects engineers builds solid relationships subcontractors competitive advantage McCarthy attends industry events represents McCarthy professional capacity builds maintains relationships internal clients maintains knowledge cost elements by bid package uniformat i.e., costsf elements manages buys out log exhibits production subcontracts sets chart accounts oracle implements safety programs ee affirmative action programs.Job description
