Job summary
We are adding a Material Handler Coil Receiver to our team to support our continued growth. This is a full-time position based in Maumee, Ohio. We offer competitive wages and a clean, safe work environment.Responsibilities
- The Material Handler Coil Receiver is responsible for unloading, inspecting and documenting incoming material shipments (like steel or aluminum coils blanks), operating heavy machinery (forklifts cranes) to move and store them staging them for production performing cycle counts with a strong focus on safety due to the weight and sharp edges of the materials.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders maintaining accurate records ensuring proper storage keeping the receiving area clean organized safely operate forklifts pallet jacks other material handling equipment load unload materials from trucks checking shipments against packing slips Pos inspect incoming coils damage correct material received accurately stage label document inventory transactions using scanners manual logs perform routine equipment inspections basic preventive maintenance fluid levels charging batteries replacing propane tanks assist with cycle counts inventory audits ensure accuracy maintain clean safe organized work areas compliance company safety standards immediately report unsafe conditions damaged materials equipment malfunctions support production flow communicate material container shortages delays supervisors follow all safety procedures wear required PPE maintain clean organized work area take direction coaching act positively improve performance assumes additional duties assigned fall outside primary scope role.
