- Manages project budgets, including processes accruals, and communicates anticipated changes in the budget. Applies FIN 102 requirements when completing requisitions, receipts, and related project tasks.
- Understands various corporate financial statements and can differentiate how project implementation and property unit catalog (PUC) citations will affect the rate payer versus the shareholder, including providing feedback to PUC modifications as appropriate.
- Supports Generation facility outages.
- Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy's Values and helps deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
- Bachelor's Degree Within an engineering program that is accredited through the Engineering Accreditation Commission
- 7 years of related experience
- Project management leadership experience preferred, along with ability to deal with subcontractors and multi-functional teams; may have expertise in a particular area of the field.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management).

Senior Engineer - Power Generation performs a variety of complex engineering work using a variety of tools and resources to apply independent judgment in sophisticated situations. This position will include one or more of the following duties; designs, plans, constructs, installs, operates, monitors, evaluates, and maintains structures, facilities, systems, equipment, machinery, and components used in generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of energy for domestic, commercial, residential, and industrial consumption. This role proactively provides mentorship.
