    Focused Improvement Manager - Manufacturing Excellence Role Profile

    The Focused Improvement Manager on our Central Manufacturing Excellence Team provides key leadership and expertise, driving a culture of continuous improvement across the supply chain. The role reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing Excellence within the North America Manufacturing organization.

    Purpose

    The position exists to collaborate with manufacturing sites across the U.S. and Canada to ensure adherence with Manufacturing Excellence standards to assure compliance with robust processes.

    Purpose of the Role:

    As a member of the Central Manufacturing Excellence team, each member plays a vital role in leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across Diageo's manufacturing sites in North America. The Central ManEx team coaches line managers and associates on Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS), building a performance culture, focused improvement projects, and compliance to standards. Central ManEx team members are visible leaders in the Diageo North America Manufacturing business who drive employee engagement and build the capabilities of our associates. Through benchmarking against other World Class Organizations, the Central ManEx team shares best in class practices among the sites and provides leadership and direction to implement the manufacturing management system practices. Central ManEx team members lead, facilitate Manufacturing Management System (MMS) workshops, and train employees to the standards of work vital to improve the manufacturing business.

    Link to NA Mission- Deliver exceptional value across North America Manufacturing by engaging workforce to optimize changeover process across packaging lines, becoming the global benchmark for Diageo.

    Delivery of Tactical Plan - Deliver productivity improvements to North America Manufacturing (NAM) Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by reducing changeover impact across packaging lines. Implement and train teams on Set-Up Time Reduction (SUTR) and Visual Management (VM) global standards. Serve as regional administrator of production downtime data collection systems. Drive a performance culture including the use of comparative metrics to other sites globally within Diageo, including benchmarking against top CPGs. Deliver waste reduction through FI activities (packaging / liquid).

    Certifications: Yellow Belt - Six Sigma

    Bachelor's degree - Bachelors in Business, Management, or Engineering, five plus years of supervisory experience in a bottling plant; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Length of Experience - 5 plus years of continuous improvement experience

    Technical Skills - DMAIC or Six Sigma training/experience a plus

    Computer/Software Skills - Informance / Redzone / Harford a plus
