    MISSION / SUMMARY:

    The Maintenance Planner position is critical to the successful execution of all scheduled down time maintenance outages to assure that scheduled uptime meets operational targets.

    JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

    • Generate accurate work orders and develop work packages for all outage jobs.
    • Work with Electrical/Instrumentation technicians and maintenance supervisors to gain concurrence on plan details (manpower, tools, special consideration, etc.). Implement E/I schedules into the mechanical Microsoft project.
    • Visit job locations and gather first hand data from operations when developing estimates and plans. Ensure plans accurately reflect scope needed. Relay all special requirements to Safety, E/I, PPM, etc.
    • Ensure that Stores items are on-site and reserved for outage work and all parts are correct and staged at job site.
    • Generate requisitions for items that are not Stores items.
    • Utilize predictive data (vibration reports, oil analysis, etc) to set priority for outage work.
    • Lead timely outage-planning meetings and ensure that proper persons are notified.
    • Prior to outage day, coordinate clearly with maintenance supervisors and technicians the job plans, time estimates, resource requirements, any safety hazards present, communicate any need for special permits and then walk down the jobs with the technicians that will perform the work.
    • Manage roll repair process. Coordinate repairs with operations and maintenance
    • Work with Maintenance supervisors and technicians to get proper level of feedback from them on completed jobs.
    • Assist the failure analysis effort by helping implement corrective actions that are needed to prevent reoccurrence of equipment failures

    Required Skills

    SPECIFIC SKILLS:

    • Assist efforts to improve the SAP database by updating BOM's on equipment in department of responsibility. It is mandatory that accurate BOM's are completed on all repetitive jobs.
    • Utilize SAP for the creation of task lists to assist in job planning.
    • Lead the development and institutionalization of weekly, monthly and annual PM's

    Required Experience

    BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

    • 5 years maintenance experience in a paper manufacturing or other heavy industrial settings.
    • 3 years maintenance planning experience preferred.

    EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

    • BS degree or equivalent experience.
