    **Sr. Buyer and Sourcing Specialist**

    **Operations | Tustin, CA | Full Time**

    ****Primary Role and Responsibility:****

    The Sr. Buyer and Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for the planning and procurement of goods and services such as raw materials, parts, components, supplies, and equipment. The Sr. Buyer and Sourcing Specialist is also responsible for the management of supplier relationships, commodity tactics, NPI sourcing, support and special projects.

    Responsible for planning, purchasing, and sourcing parts, finished goods, raw materials and/or tooling for mechanical/Electrical devices

    Provide supply chain support to new product programs.

    Manage and develop supplier relationships from original sourcing, selection, contracting, pricing, and performance measurement.

    Able to assess a supplier to meet part and/or assembly and business needs

    Demonstrate leadership and team management skills necessary to achieve company and department strategic and tactical goals.

    Effectively resolve supplier quality corrective actions

    Manage offshore and domestic commodities

    Negotiate procurement terms and conditions, establish Kanban and other agreements

    Manage numerous projects simultaneously.

    Implement JIT, VMI and other productive methods to achieve results. Use Lean principles to identify opportunities for improvement

    Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the companys policies and practices. Proactively establishes effective relationships and supports others in achieving high performance.

    **Required Skills/Qualifications:**

    Bachelors degree in business or related area

    Five years experience in the purchasing field with specialization in negotiations, technical buying in assigned commodities, and ERP tools

    Electronic and Mechanical sourcing experience in Asia and Mexico is a plus

    Contract review experience required; contract writing a plus

    Excellent computer skills with business integrated systems a must. Office software, including ERP/MRP, Excel and other PC based skills a requirement.

    APICS Certification a plus
