    As a Lead Process Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in independently managing and overseeing project assignments from conception to completion.

    The ideal candidate will be well-versed in chemical engineering principles, with specific expertise in relief valve design, calculations, and system evaluations for EPC projects.

    Previous experience and comfortability leading teams is essential.


    Responsibilities:
    Develop advanced-level specifications for project assignments, incorporating client performance requirements, specific component needs, design criteria, and applicable codes.
    Create engineering sketches, perform calculations, and develop analysis models for moderately complex projects.
    Review and approve vendor drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
    Effectively communicate and interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
    Set and manage realistic expectations for project timelines and budgets.
    Adhere to company quality standards and engineering approval procedures.
    Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
    Actively participate in hazard identification programs and report safety concerns.
    Collaborate with drafting/design teams to develop and review engineering drawings.
    Conduct site visits to evaluate project requirements and conditions.
    Visit vendor facilities to inspect equipment for compliance.
    Prepare inquiries, purchase requisitions, and bid tabulations for equipment purchases.
    Manage workloads, budgets, and project resources, seeking assistance as needed.
    Develop, review, and approve engineering design packages.
    Assist in the development of internal design guidelines and specifications.
    Utilize complex calculations and analyses in engineering and advanced mathematics.
    Prepare reports, specifications, plans, and construction schedules for projects.
    Analyze and resolve design and development issues.
    Manage client relationships and identify repeat business opportunities.
    Compile man-hour and cost estimates based on project scope, assessing challenges and risks.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
    7+ years of experience in a Process Engineering role, which previous experience in EPC projects
    Previous experience leading teams of 3+ engineers.
    Experience with Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, and Flare System Analyzer.
    Specific experience in process safety valve sizing, relief system design, and auditing.
    IPRSM experience is required.
    Extensive knowledge of API 520 and 521 standards.
    Familiarity with the API 2000 standard.
