    Job Description:

    The general purpose of an Asset Management Analyst I is to manage, analyze, and track the lifecycle of assets within an organization.

    This includes physical assets such as network and server equipment, as well as digital assets such as software.

    Their responsibilities encompass tracking the acquisition, maintenance, depreciation, upgrading, and disposition of assets, thereby optimizing their use and value to the company. Utilizing data analytics, the analyst identifies trends and opportunities for improved asset utilization, makes investment recommendations, and helps to develop strategic plans for asset growth.

    They collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment between asset management strategies and broader business objectives, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines in the process.

    The IT Asset Management role covers activities around managing the IT Asset Management process using the ServiceNow CMDB and Software Asset Management application.

    The position will have primary responsibility for managing and working with our software applications, process, and stakeholders, as well as backing up our hardware asset manager in the hardware asset management duties.

    Essential Functions:

    Assist in tracking and recording hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal.

    Maintain asset inventory records, verify asset information, assist in hardware audits, and report on asset status.

    Assist in managing relationships with vendors and in procuring new hardware.

    Act as primary point of contact for asset inventory check in and check out of secure storage spaces.

    Supports managing and tracking software applications and associated licenses throughout their lifecycle.

    Maintain accurate records of the organization's software assets, including information on licenses, usage, and costs.

    Assist in software audits, license compliance checks, and report generation.

    Help manage relationships with software vendors and assist in the procurement and renewal of software licenses.

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all configuration items (CIs) in the IT environment.

    Investigate available software products; evaluate and recommend products based on user requirements.

    Verifies and updates CI details, ensures proper relationship mapping between CIs, and aids in CMDB audits.

    Contributes to the analysis of configuration data to support decision-making.

    Champions and models client core values and demonstrates values-based behaviors in everyday interactions across the agency.

    Deliverables:

    Completed delivery of software and hardware asset requests.

    Updated CMDB records.

    Completed/ updated documentation associated with IT Asset Management.

    Special / Additional Qualifications (Over Role/ Category Level)

    Education & Experience:

    3-5 years ServiceNow experience

    3-5 years Asset Management experience

    Required Licenses or Certifications:

    ITIL Foundation certification (or equivalent experience) Specific Qualifications, Knowledge, and
