- Serve as main point of contact with the integrator for the successful implementation and of controls systems throughout the facility.
- Interface with global sites to replicate logic, principals, and processes for a new facility.
- Execute automation design, configuration and startup of controls-related projects for the site.
- Perform validation, testing, and support responsibilities as necessary.
- Work cross functionally with project managers, engineering, etc. to ensure programs remain compliant.
- Provide expert knowledge and technical support to internal and external teams.
- Deliver high quality communication regarding projects and serve as the subject matter expert for automation systems in meetings and leadership calls
- B.S. in an Engineering discipline, with 5+ years of experience
- 2 or more years of experience with DeltaV
- Automation/controls experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to work on-site
- Compensation: $70-$95/hr., depending on relevant industry experience

Piper Life Sciences is actively seeking a Automation Engineer to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing organization specializing in cell therapy in the Holly Springs, North Carolina area. The Automation Engineer will be leading projects for DeltaV integration, automation validation, and replicating current processes from other company sites. The ideal candidate will have experience leading automation systems projects. This is a Monday-Friday role, 4 days on-site/1-day remote, with traditional working hours.
