Programmer/Systems Engineer/Application Engineer/Automation Engineer/PLC Programmer/Controls Programmer

We are currently partnering with a leading company in the Energy Sector building Smart Commercial/Government Buildings that share the space with the likes of Honeywell, Schneider Electric, and Siemens utilizing HVAC Control Systems and BAS on the lookout for a strong Programmer to join the team.

You will have extensive experience and knowledge of HVAC and BAS control systems, have experience with the likes of Tridium or Niagara, and have strong experience with Function Block and Ladder.

This role is on-site in Alabama, with a generous relocation package on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience with building automation programming (Function Block, Ladder)
• Experience with Niagara 4 or Tridium is a huge plus
• Familiar with Schneider System
• Experience with HVAC and BAS
• Experience with Distech
• Experience with Controls
• Construction Exposure
• Based in or willing to relocate to Alabama

Responsibilities

Reviewing Project Specifications and Documents:

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to grasp the project's overall intent.
• Break down the scope of work into manageable segments for scheduling by the Project Manager.
• Participate in graphics review meetings with customers, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

Project Management Support:

• Post project programming-specific Requests for Information (RFI) documentation to relevant stakeholders, including the System Engineer, Project Manager, and Engineering Manager.
• Follow established standards and libraries to implement the sequence of operations as outlined in project documents and engineered sequences.

System Startup and Commissioning:

• Assist in the startup and commissioning of large systems, such as Air Handling Units (AHUs), chiller plants, or other utility systems.
• This includes the installation and configuration of workstations, servers, and network components as necessary.

Team Collaboration and Troubleshooting:

• Collaborate with field technicians to troubleshoot software issues and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Building Management System (BMS) integration issues to ensure seamless system operation.
