Job Description3rd Shift: 11p-730am, Su-Th with OT as required.
Hourly Rate: $21.50 with $2.00 hour shift differential
Job Summary
Operate process equipment, and perform duties as directed by plant manager or Shift Operator.
Assist plant manager and Shift Operator, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining
a clean and safe work environment providing customers with quality products. This position will
back up the shift operator when absent or unavailable.
Essential Job Functions
• Oversee operations on the production floor if the shift operator is absent or unavailable
• Load/ Unload reactors
• Assist with employee training
• Assist with the scheduling of daily production requirements when needed
• Complete ERP system functions as assigned
• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of equipment
• Complete logs used for production
• Maintain records relating to chemical usage
• Ensure all employees follow all plant and customer specific quality requirements
• Process quality samples for daily QC testing requirements
• Inspect and verify order fulfillment prior to final shipment
• Assist with inventory and plant organization of untreated and treated products
• Assist with daily shipping requirements including contacting carriers and generating
paperwork when needed
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
• Assist Shift Operator with required safety and environmental protection requirements
• Promote daily plant 5S organization and structure
• Must be willing to work shift and/or overtime hours during the week and/or weekends
as dictated by operations
• Follow and maintain all housekeeping protocols and support continuous improvement
initiatives
• Clean baskets and other equipment as necessary
• Required to follow all safety, environmental and quality programs
• Required to follow all company policies and procedures
• Ability and certification to drive a forklift
• Other duties as assigned by Management
Educational and Skills Requirements
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years manufacturing
related experience and/or training preferred
• Must be able to count, read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English.
• Good documentation and organizational skills
• Basic machine maintenance experience or some mechanical ability
• Computer literate (order entry, scheduling, etc.)
• Forklift and industrial equipment experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to work in non-climate controlled warehouse.
