The Division of Child Neurology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several positions in the non-tenure academic clinician tracks.
The positions offer a blend of outpatient clinics and inpatient service at the CHOP Philadelphia Campus as well as the Middleman Family Pavilion at the CHOP King of Prussia Campus.
We seek child neurologists with broad clinical skills who are interested in a dynamic practice combining clinical excellence with academic and teaching opportunities.
Neurologists with expertise in critical care neurology, inpatient neurology, and pediatric stroke are especially encouraged to apply.Program Highlights:
Join a team of 70 Child Neurology attending physicians and scientists.
Our ACGME-accredited 5-year child neurology residency program matches 7 residents per year.
We offer a one-year Pediatric Neurocritical Care Fellowship Program.
Our Neuroscience Center integrates world-renowned specialists in Child Neurology and Neurosurgery to provide precise diagnoses, individualized clinical care, and cutting-edge surgical treatments to achieve groundbreaking discoveries.
The CHOP Philadelphia Campus is home to a dedicated 24-bed inpatient Neuroscience Unit staffed by an interdisciplinary team with specialized training in pediatric neuroscience.
This state-of-the-art unit houses the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and is specially equipped to meet the unique medical and surgical needs of infants, children, and young adults with neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
The CHOP Philadelphia Campus is also home to large neonatal, pediatric, and cardiac intensive care units, along with extensive ED and Ward neurology consultation.

Doctorate Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of hospital policies, practices and protocols as well as applicable regulations and guidelines. Knowledge of computer systems and applications. (Required proficiency)
Skills in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, decision-making. (Required proficiency)
Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients and the public. (Required proficiency)
Abil ty to research and prepare comprehensive reports. (Required proficiency)
