    Four Star Greenhouse is the leading 'Proven Winner' supplier in North America. We have approximately 30 acres of Greenhouses located in Carleton, Michigan. We produce and ship to wholesale customers all over the country including your hometown greenhouses and Independent Garden Centers. We grow a variety of annuals, perennials, house plants and more

    We are searching for a full time Marketing and Events Coordinator to enhance our competitive edge and bring new ideas to life. We are looking for an individual who will engage our external wholesale customers and our internal employees.

    This role will partner with our Marketing and Sales Departments to spearhead all event coordination as well as promotional aspects for trade shows and events. Other aspects of the role may include:

    · Designing, purchasing, and negotiating regarding promotional merchandise that aligns with intended audiences.

    · Developing a plan for events and materials that align with our Company Mission and goals, as well as with the Proven Winner message.

    · Leading the planning, designing, and execution of social media content, providing information regarding events and shows that enhance our growth.

    This is a hybrid position that requires some local and occasional regional travel. While this position is hybrid, we are looking for someone to be onsite 2 days a week or as needed. Starting pay is $26 for the entry level candidate and may increase based on relevant skills and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, and the opportunity for a merit increase after 90 days of employment.

    JOB SUMMARY: Coordinate all aspects of marketing projects and Company internal and external events in a manner that aligns with Company image and goals. This includes designing, negotiating, contracting, and scheduling as well as other related activities. Lead the creation and maintenance of social media and email content regarding events and promotional materials to attract more wholesale customers. Creatively contribute to the success of the team in all endeavors. Support Four Star Greenhouse's Mission Statement in all job related functions.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1. Collaborate with the Marketing Teams on the development of an annual marketing plan that will support the achievement of Company sales and performance goals. Work closely with the B2B Marketing & Sales teams to align visions with overall goals and brand strategy.

    2. Provide regular detailed status reports on all projects to the Director of Marketing and Ecommerce.

    3. Develop a plan for events and materials on the calendar that includes theme, scope, message, invitations, logistics, materials, and budget, etc. Align events and materials with Company Mission and goals as well as with the Proven Winner message. Lead the planning, design, and execution of social media content, providing information regarding events and shows that enhance our growth on all relevant platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn.

    4. Coordinate all aspects of Company events and develop/publish marketing materials while operating within established budgets. Coordinate various event logistics for scheduled events – airfare, hotel rooming lists, transportation rentals, dinner reservations, seating, attendee lists. Notify your supervisor if any scheduled event requests exceed standard costs.

    5. Spearhead print material like graphics for event signage. Design, purchase, and negotiate promotional merchandise that aligns with intended audiences.

    6. Track data and report on the effectiveness of events and materials. Evaluate short and long term ROI for all events and marketing projects.

    7. Lead the planning, design, and execution of social media content, providing information regarding events and shows that enhance our growth on all relevant platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn.

    8. Assist in the design of graphics, images and other visual elements that adhere to our brand style guidelines.

    9. Publicize events to increase participation for our wholesale audience. Actively seek, secure, or create new content to interest, engage, and delight our audiences.

    10. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously optimize promotional materials by:

    a. Researching information regarding methods used by others within and outside our industry.

    b. Utilizing information to improve our services and build competitive advantages.

    c. Attending at least 3 events each year like Michigan Garden Tours, Cultivate, and at least 1 show outside the industry to build competitive knowledge.

    11. Communicate with our vendors so that expectations from both parties are clearly established, understood, and documented. Be a relentless advocate for Four Star Greenhouse.

    12. Negotiate and contract with vendors and internal staff to successfully execute events. Research current and new vendors to compare and find the optimal vendor to meet our growth and goals. Exceed service level expectations with all internal and external customers.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

    2. 1 year of content creation experience.

    3. Working knowledge of MS Office; photo editing software is a plus.

    4. Demonstrate strong writing skills and a creative eye for content.

    5. Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.

    6. Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.

    7. While this position is a hybrid role, the preferred candidate will be available to work on-site a minimum of twice a week.

    PHYSICAL ASPECTS:

    1. Large percentage of time sitting at a desk utilizing a computer and telephone.

    2. Significant time may be spent periodically standing or walking, bending to the ground, reaching overhead, and lifting items for event preparation.

    3. May be exposed to sun and/or high intensity lights.

    4. May be exposed to prolonged standing and walking.

    5. Lifting a minimum of 20 pounds.

    6. Must be willing and able to travel locally/regionally to attend at least 3 events. The majority of planned events are local.
