A Long Island-based nonprofit healthcare organization is looking to add a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) at one of their residential facilities in Suffolk CountyAbout the Opportunity:
Setting:
Residential facility Schedule: Monday to
Friday Hours: 7:30am to 4pm or 10am to 6:30pm
Patient Population:
Adult ID/DD OPWDD
Patient Volume:
Caseload of 20
EMR:
Epic Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will: Serve as the medical liaison for IDT team and ensure proper medical follow-up Assess injuries/accidents to ensure individuals receive proper medical care Develop written plans for each person; modify nursing plan, as necessary Maintain medical records for each individual Accompany individuals to medical appointments, as assigned Ensure proper medical follow-up through an on-call system Ensures all medication is administered and stored, as necessary Complete appropriate incident reporting paperwork, as required Act as a liaison with family members regarding medical issues Provide ongoing training and supervision of AMAP certified staff Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills Patient oriented Great interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing OPWDD background
