    Pay Range:
    $ 33.19/hr - $ 39.00/hr - $ 44.81/hr*Please note, the highest starting rate as a new hire is $39.00/hr, based on applicable experience


    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Major Gift Officer serves as a critical member of the Enloe Health Foundation team, reporting directly to the Director of Advancement.

    Working in tandem with the Director and the Foundation Board of Directors, this position is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift donors to advance the mission of Enloe Health.

    The Major Gift Officer maintains a prospect list of active donors with potential for gifts in excess of $25k.


    EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing/Business/Public Administration, or a related field; OR five years' direct experience in major gift development, volunteer management, sales, marketing or related field


    Desired:


    • Five years' experience in health care development
    • Familiarity with Raiser's Edge fundraising softwareLICENSES /

    CERTIFICATIONS:

    Minimum:

    • Current California Driver's License
    • Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center's Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21)
    • Proof of current auto insurance coverage (no business exclusion)


    Desired:


    • CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) certification

    SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
    Expertise in prospect identification and gift solicitation skills, along with overall fundraising techniques required. Must be a strategic thinker and collaborative team player.

    The position requires skills in relationship building, solicitation techniques, stewardship skills, facilitating multiple activities and developing consensus among key groups; and maintaining strong working relationships with hospital personnel, community members and all volunteers.

    This position requires exceptionally strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a portfolio of donors while simultaneously cultivating new prospects.

    Strategic, organizational, and multi-tasking skills are essential. The position requires the ability to develop relationships in the community that enhance organizational success. The incumbent must demonstrate leadership ability and professional judgment. They must have exceptional, proven written and oral communication skills and possess proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Raiser's Edge software and donor database management experience is strongly desired. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Health's core values. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
