Repor ing o he Senior Direc or of HR Informa ion Sys ems and Opera ions, and working closely wi h he HR Generalis eam, he Compensa ion and HR Opera ions Analys plays an impor an role in ensuring he compe i iveness and effec iveness of he Universi y's compensa ion-rela ed programs as well as alignmen wi h federal, s a e and universi y regula ions, policies, and guidelines.

Ensure compensa ion and benefi s programs are adminis ered in compliance wi h Federal and S a e regula ions and laws, collec ive bargaining agreemen s and universi y policies.
Provide promp and responsive in-person and online cus omer service o all cons i uen s, ensuring ha all ma ers rela ed o compensa ion, job classifica ion and assigned HR opera ions are resolved, communica ed and implemen ed in an accura e and imely manner.
Manage opera ions of he depar men al compensa ion commi ee, providing accura e compensa ion analysis and effec ive adminis ra ive oversigh o suppor he same.
Review and properly classify job descrip ions in accordance wi h relevan collec ive bargaining agreemen and/or policy.his includes reviewing non-exemp posi ions and assigning he appropria e grade in accordance wi h Commonweal h of Massachuse s job specifica ions, and using poin fac or sys em o correc ly grade unionized professional s aff posi ions.
Manage racking mechanism for all reclassifica ion and compensa ion review reques s and develop enhancemen s o he same under he guidance of HR Generalis s and labor rela ions s aff.
Ensures ha jobs are appropria ely classified in accordance wi h he Fair Labor S andards Ac .Work as par of a eam o develop and implemen a grading sys em for non-unionized professional posi ions.
Upda es and adminis ers universi y pro ocol for managing and upda ing job descrip ions.
Par ner wi h he HRIS eam and o her depar men cons i uen s o move compensa ion and job classifica ion opera ions o an elec ronic workflow.
May lead or par icipa e in marke and salary surveys and research compensa ion rends.Moni or reviews of compensa ion and benefi s packages o main ain marke compe i iveness.
Par icipa e in benchmarking processes and analyze indus ry da a o evalua e roles and de ermine compe i iveness of salaries and o al compensa ion by marke .
May assis wi h cos ing labor grievance se lemen paymen s and collec ive bargaining proposals.Design and build compensa ion me rics, repor s and ools o inform compensa ion program decisions and analyze business ou comes.
Work wi h HR Generalis eam and depar men leaders o provide appropria e guidance regarding pay decisions, policies and job evalua ion.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredi ed universi y
A minimum of one year of experience in human resources.
Knowledge of principles, heories and concep s for adminis ering compensa ion programs, including working knowledge of compensa ion procedures, bes prac ices, applicable laws and regula ions, e.g.

Experience working wi h HR sys ems and echnology
In ermedia e o advanced proficiency in Microsof Office ools including Excel, PowerPoin and Word

Preferred
Qualifica ions:
Relevan professional cer ifica ion (e.g., CCP, PHR/SPHR) achieved or in progress
Working knowledge and unders anding of HR processes and HRIS sys ems (preferably PeopleSof )
Experience working in a unionized environmen
Prior human resource experience in higher educa ion and/or he public sec or
Demons ra ed experience in human resources adminis ra ion in a complex organiza ion, including documen ing, developing and in erpre ing of policies and procedures.
