Modern Packaging seeks a Mechanical Drafter responsible for supporting the Mechanical Engineering group with regards to basic designs as well as documentation.

Principle duties:
Create 2D documentation with appropriate dimensions and tolerances from 3D model
Basic design work under engineering or management supervision
Prepares proper bills of material based on design
Create and manage the assembly documentation for all machine projects on the production floor
Support Technical Writing Personnel with creation of manuals
Assist Aftermarket team with identifying components on equipment, updating manual drawings, and updating Bill of Materials.

Total compensation includes your base salary, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan with company match.

There is no waiting period for benefits – you are eligible on your first day of employment.


Base Salary Range:
$30-$40 per hour.

Requirements/Capabilities:
Solid understanding of drafting
Basic understanding of design
Ability to work independently and with limited day-to-day supervision


Experience/Training:
2+ yrs experience Manufacturing
1+ yrs experience Mechanical Drafting
Experience working with Autodesk Inventor preferred


Education:
High School Diploma
Technical Trade School or Associate Degree preferred
