    Description

    The QC Technician I is responsible for quality control testing of raw, intermediate, and finished goods in support of Incoming Inspection and the Manufacturing processes. The QC technician I will perform a variety of duties in support of Quality Control department goals and objectives.

    HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT (Responsibilities)

    ● Perform inspection using specialized equipment including Keyence Optical Measurement System to test flow cells and finished product devices, and product specific functional test.

    ● Perform visual inspection, dimensional measurement, and functional testing as required.

    ● Ability to operate and maintain Karl Fisher instrument for QC analytical testing.

    ● Ability to follow directions and standard operating procedures with limited supervision.

    ● Communicate daily QC results, issues, and summarize progress with supervisor by oral or written report.

    ● Help maintain laboratory inventory of chemicals, reagents, consumables, and willing to share laboratory cleaning and safety responsibilities.

    ● Follows detailed protocols and uses knowledge of basic laboratory procedures.

    ● Willingness and demonstrated ability to learn and develop instrument-related skills.

    ● Performs other duties as assigned.

    ON YOUR FIRST DAY WE'D LIKE YOU TO HAVE (Requirements & Education)

    ● High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate's or bachelor's degree in scientific field preferred.

    ● Background in molecular biology is preferred with single/multichannel pipetting and PCR experience

    ● College-level exposure working in a molecular biology lab highly desired. 1-2 years preferred.

    ● Experience in a regulated industry preferred.

    IT'S GREAT IF YOU HAVE

    ● Experience in related field preferred, with knowledge and experience with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

    ● Must work well within teams and across departments.

    ● Laboratory equipment/apparatus experience is a plus.

    ● 0-2 years work experience, preferably in quality control or manufacturing setting

    ● Must be able to communicate effectively.
