    Job Title: Registered Nurse - Inpatient Psychiatric Unit

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing patients' physical and psychosocial conditions, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing and coordinating care with the healthcare team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assesses patients' physical and psychosocial conditions on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care.

    • Develops, communicates, and documents a plan of care reflecting individualized patient problems and interventions to achieve desired outcomes.

    • Implements and coordinates the plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.

    • Evaluates the effectiveness of the plan of care, patients' response to care, and readiness for discharge.

    • Revises the plan of care as needed and makes referrals where indicated.

    • Plans for education after assessing individual learning needs and readiness of patients and families.

    • Provides educational opportunities and documents outcomes.

    • Serves as a preceptor to new staff.

    • Demonstrates the ability to provide a safe environment for self and patients.

    • Meets the Standards of Professional Behavior.

    • Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the department/unit.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN Preferred.

    • Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license.

    • BLS required.

    • CPI within 6 months of hire required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Mental Health or ED experience preferred. Hospital and unit-based orientation provided.

    Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 per year.
