Position Available: School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

Type of Employment: Contract, Schools, Onsite

Hours: Full & Part Time

We are in search of a dedicated and qualified School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our team and deliver exceptional services to students in our district near Janesville, WI. As a School-Based OT, you will have a crucial role in supporting students' development and independence by evaluating and addressing their specific needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and school engagement. Become part of our effort to create an inclusive and encouraging learning environment for all students.

Main Duties:

Perform thorough assessments to pinpoint students' strengths and difficulties concerning fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily activities.
Create personalized treatment plans and employ evidence-based interventions to assist students in reaching their academic objectives and actively participating in classroom tasks.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to deploy strategies that promote students' achievements in the school setting.
Deliver direct individual or group therapy sessions based on students' requirements and objectives, utilizing innovative and interactive activities to boost learning and skill enhancement.
Keep precise and timely records of student progress, assessments, and therapy sessions.
Offer guidance and education to school staff, parents, and caregivers on methods and adjustments to back up students' occupational therapy objectives in various contexts.
Stay up-to-date with top practices and advancements in the occupational therapy field and engage in professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in occupational therapy.
Active state licensure or qualification for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Prior experience dealing with children and teenagers, preferably in a school-based or pediatric environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
Aptitude to adjust therapy approaches to suit the distinct needs of each student.
Dedication to evidence-based practices and continuous professional improvement.
Empathetic and student-focused methodology in working with students and their families.
