    Description

    Job Description - Certified Nursing Assistant at Legacy Health

    The nursing philosophy at Legacy revolves around the patients and their families, with a strong focus on making their lives better. As part of our interprofessional team, your main goal will be to improve the well-being of our patients and the community.

    • Assist licensed nursing personnel in providing care
    • Participate as a valuable member of the healthcare team under licensed nurse direction
    • Provide assistance in clerical tasks, housekeeping, and patient transportation
    • Required flexibility to work at various Legacy Health sites

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide supervised care based on patient needs
    • Participate in care plan development and implementation
    • Organize plan of care considering patient's needs and preferences
    • Prioritize and encourage self-care and independence when appropriate
    • Identify and address cognitive impairments effectively
    • Maintain a safe environment and implement infection control procedures
    • Recognize abnormal signs and symptoms promptly
    • Ensure proper nutrition and fluid intake
    • Respond to emergencies with knowledge of procedures
    • Accurate documentation according to guidelines

    Competency Requirements:

    • Maintain clinical competency and certification
    • Perform tasks within authorized scope of practice
    • Demonstrate ongoing proficiency in technical skills
    • Complete tasks after documented education and clinical experience

    Qualifications:

    • Current CNA 2 (Acute Care) certification required
    • AHA BLS for Health Care Provider certification required
