    Job Title: Referral Coordinator

    Location: Corporate Office

    Travel Required: No

    Position Type: Full Time

    Job Description: To obtain referrals and authorizations for patient office and procedure visits in a timely manner.

    Role and Responsibilities

    Administrative

    • Coordinate referral/authorization for patient appointments
    • Verify patient insurance coverage
    • Contact patient insurance and submit appropriate codes if a referral/authorization is needed for the patient appointment
    • Maintain and update patient medical records, insurance, and demographics
    • Scheduling patient general dermatology and surgical appointments
    • Keep track and manage referrals/authorizations daily to ensure active referrals/ authorizations are in place for patient general visits and procedures

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    High school diploma, AA degree or higher. Knowledgeable in computer programs, EMR systems, customer service, excellent verbal communication skills. Minimum of 1 year experience in a billing or referral coordinator role preferred.
