General Statement of Duties:
This is a highly responsible professional and administrative position involved in the planning, organizing, directing and administering a comprehensive
Town and Board of Education risk management safety program. The Risk Manager will develop optimum alternatives for protecting Town assets, including but not limited to, the
Town's self-insured health benefit keep the employees and citizens safe. This position requires considerable knowledge, skill and ability in health insurance plan design,
underwriting, managing claims, preparing Insurance applications, workers compensation, casualty and liability insurance, heart and hypertension and safety programs, and cancer benefit
for Fire Fighters Statute.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Insurance Administration Risk Management, Safety Management, Public Administration or a related
field, plus seven (7) years of extensive professional experience in administering loss control and risk management programs, specifically self-insurance programs or an equivalent
combination of education and experience. An Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or Associate in Risk Management – Public (ARM-P) Degree preferred. Certified Property
Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations desirable A Certified Playground Inspectors License would also be helpful.
