    This position is responsible for the operation of the box machines that supply boxes to the grind line.


    The Box Machine Operator lifts stacks of flat cartons from a pallet placed near the machines and places them into each of the two the box making machines.

    As the machines form boxes, the operator monitors the operation of the equipment to ensure good boxes are being produced, makes adjustments as needed and will remove any box jams if they occur.

    Should the equipment fail, the Box Machine Operator will assist in making boxes by hand until repairs to the equipment are finalized.

    This position is responsible for the general upkeep of the equipment during the shift as well. This includes keeping the equipment free of debris and glue buildups.

    Other duties include the general upkeep of the box machine room area and any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.


    Schedule:
    Monday - Friday, Some Saturdays (2:00 PM to when production ends)


    Starting pay rate:
    \$16.40/hour


    Requirements:
    Must complete an on-line job application in Workday

    Any team member who accumulates 8 or more attendance points, who holds a class 2 or above position, will be demoted to any available class 1 position in the plant.

    All applicants must provide their government identification number so the system can verify any previous Tyson employment history.


    This facility accepts rehires after 365 days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson.

    Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
